somatic = body-based
breathwork = using the breath as a tool to shift our physiological state, bring awareness to the body, to the breath, and release
through conscious connected breathing patterns, music, and guided awareness, the body is brought to a physiological state where old stress cycles are able to come to completion
in this state the body begins to discharge stored tension, energy, and emotion that’s been stored in the body, held beneath the surface
this form of breathwork bypasses the thinking mind, our psyche - allowing direct access to the subconscious, where trauma and emotions are stored
